Criminal Minds Season 7

Finally! CBS will be premiering season 7 of Criminal Minds on September 21st with the original cast in tact.

Before you ask, YES! Everyone will be returning, except for Ashley Seavers, who played Rachel Nichols.

Matt Gubley, who plays Dr. Reid, will be returning as an actor on the show, as well as a part-time director.

The eccentric character Penelope Garcia, who is brilliantly played by Kirsten Vangsness, will also be back.

There was a LOT of speculation on whether Thomas Gibson (Hotch) would be returning to the drama series because of a salary cap.

Thankfully, after weeks of negotiations with the network, Gibson and CBS came to an agreement. His salary increased from $100,000 per episode to $120,000 per episode. It doesn't seem like a big difference, but it was enough to keep him around.

Not only will Thomas Gibson will be back, but A.J. Cook, who portrayed JJ Jareau on the drama, will be returning after being fired season before last.

Also appearing in season 7 is Paget Brewster, who plays Emily Prentiss. She was the one that was "supposedly" stabbed and murdered by her ex-boyfriend/stalker. I wonder how THAT storyline will go.

Shemar Moore, who's character is Derek Morgan, will be returning happier and a little richer. His salary rate is NOW $100,000 an episode. That makes his salary only 2nd to Thomas Gibson and Joe Mantegna, who is already raking in $125,000 an episode.

Some actors on other networks make  an average of $300,000 an episode. One in particular, on the Fox network, makes a whopping $450,000 per episode!

I say all of that to say this. Do you think that CBS could have been a little more generous, and increased Gibson's salary a little bit more? Or do you think that he should be happy and shut up before they take his raise away? Y'all Know What would LOVE to know what you guys think.

Should Gibson (Hotch) demand more than $120,000 an episode?
Yes, because CBS is being stingy.
No, he should just be quiet and happy.
